Here is the text of Steve's email about this trip...

Hello everyone.  I pray you are doing well.  I will not keep you but I just wanted to share some information from Tsunami’s trip to set up the first ever Tsunami Ministries High School International Mission Trip planned for the summer of 2011.

We just returned from Central Europe late last night (Monday, February 22nd) and we are a bit exhausted.  However, God opened some amazing doors for this ministry during our whirlwind trip.  Here are some of the numbers.

·         9,000. The number of miles traveled by plane

·         1,600. The number of miles traveled by car

·         5. The number of countries visited (Germany, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary & Austria)

·         7. The number of meetings in 5 days with the directors of 7 different mission organizations

·         1. The number of times Steve was stopped for speeding.

·         0. The number of tickets Steve received for said speeding offence.

·         99. The speed (in Kilometers) Steve was traveling when stopped for said speeding offence.

·         60. The speed LIMIT (in Kilometers) that Steve should have been traveling.

·         90. The percentage of atheists in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

·         1. The number of the truly amazing God we serve.
Anyway, we had an remarkable trip and met with some of the most passionate Christ followers ever.  And it looks like Tsunami will be able to provide an out of this world mission experience for high school youth in 2011.

Tsunami will join in missions with Christian missions officials to supply staff at a week-long summer camp for approximately 200+ unchurched, Slovakian teenagers.  Our group will serve with a Slovakian team and provide a life-changing experience for these teens, many of which have never heard the good news of Jesus Christ.

The team will lead in relational activities, sports, drama, music, arts and more.

The dates and cost is still being worked out, but new details unfold, we will pass that along to you.

I can’t tell you how much your words of support and prayers have meant to me and the entire Tsunami staff team.  God’s hand moved in a powerful way, and even in a place where the language barrier was so vast, God spoke loud and clear and emotions ran high.  We are so excited about what God is doing and we look forward to seeing what God will continue to do with Tsunami and all of us.

So, that is about it for now.  We will keep you posted.  We will also have more information to reveal  at the PR1ME Youth Worker Conference on Saturday, March 13th.  We hope to see you there.
